Investigation of the influence of ambient temperature on the parameters of a film electric heater

When designing heating systems, drying plants based on film electric heaters, it is necessary to take into account its maximum power per unit area (specific power). In the article, for a film electric heater with a resistive element in the form of a high-resistance foil, the dependences of the limiting surface temperature on its specific power are obtained, provided its position in space, taking into account the influence of ambient temperature. As a result of the research, a theoretical dependence was obtained that allows taking into account the based disturbing factors when choosing the parameters of film electric heaters, performing design.
