Methodology of increasing accuracy of determination and saving of water consumption by cotton for conditions of sierozem soils of Uzbekistan
The subject of research is the development of a method for calculating cotton water consumption using data on evaporation from the water surface, aimed at improving the accuracy of its determination and saving water resources, in the watersheds of the sierozem soils of Uzbekistan. The object of research on total water consumption of cotton is sierozem soils and soil moisture of watershed areas under crop cultivation. Experimental trials were carried out on plots, in lysimeters and laboratory, in different meteorological conditions. The purpose of this research is to develop a methodology to determine the total evaporation from the water surface in the watersheds of the sierozem soils of Uzbekistan for cotton crop. The doctrine of groundwater overflow, data of lysimetric studies, data of field trials, correlation and regression analysis were used in processing and analyzing scientific research. Water-balance studies were carried out at the research center of the National Research University “Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers” located in Urtachirchik district of Tashkent region according to the methodology developed by Yu.N. Nikolskiy and V.V. Pchelkin. Experiments conducted in lysimeters and on plots in 2020?2022 served as a basis for obtaining a formula for determining cotton water consumption by evaporation from water surface for conditions of the sierozem soils of Uzbekistan.
