The design of an immunomodulatory drug and its preclinical studies (assessment of acute toxicity of the injectable form of the drug “Methyluracil-RI”)
This paper presents the results of a preclinical study of the drug "Methyluracil-RI", which includes an assessment of acute toxicity and determination of its safety. During the study, it was found that the drug in doses from 2500 to 3500 mg / kg did not have a fatal effect on animals. At dosages of 4000, 4500 and 5000 mg /kg of the active substance, sluggish depression was noted, followed by arousal. All subsequent doses proved fatal. The maximum dose (7,500 mg/kg) was lethal for all animals. During the study, it was found that the drug belongs to the 4th hazard class according to GOST 12.1.007-76.
