Economic justification for the development of a universal shredder for plant residues of bast crops

The article considers technological operations for the disposal of the non-seed part of the crop (NPC) of fiber flax, oilseed flax and industrial hemp by various harvesting methods using a specially designed shredder-spreader of plant residues of bast crops ? IDDS-2.0. The presented mulcher has no domestic analogues in terms of the scope and use of a wide range of crops. The research results showed that, in comparison with its foreign counterpart, IDDS-2.0 has a great advantage in saving amounting to 76 % (taking into account the efficiency indicators of use: fuel consumption, unit composition, purchase price). The developed shredder will reduce technological operations when disposing of crop residues from the field, thereby cutting fuel costs during these operations. The article presents calculations of economic efficiency from the use of a bast crop shredder, in the item of diesel fuel costs. Based on the calculations carried out, the percentage of fuel savings using IDDS-2.0 in the disposal of residues of NPCs of industrial hemp (seed harvesting method) and oilseed flax (harvesting method – towing in standing) will be 90?91 %, oilseed flax (classical harvesting method) will be 75 %, fiber flax (combine harvesting method) will be 87 %.
