Bibliometric Analysis of Corporate Sustainability Performance in Chinese Listed Companies
With the increasing global focus on Corporate Sustainability Performance (CSP), particularly in a rapidly developing economy like China, CSP research on listed companies is of significant importance. As key players in the economy, the CSP of these companies not only impacts financial performance but also has profound implications for national economic stability and sustainable development. This study uses bibliometric methods to systematically analyze 396 articles on the CSP of Chinese listed companies, published between 2015 and 2024 in the Web of Science database.Utilizing CiteSpace, the authors conducted keyword co-occurrence analysis, publication trend analysis, and network analyses of countries, institutions, and journal distributions, providing a comprehensive overview of the current state and future trends in this field. Results indicate a surge in CSP research since 2022, with primary themes including ESG performance, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), information disclosure, financial performance, technological innovation, and government regulation.Future research should explore the impact of top management on CSP, competitive CSP strategies, the role of quality management in sustainability, and the effectiveness of government environmental policies, offering theoretical support for corporate strategy and policy-making.
