A Research on Korean Language Education Using Artificial Intelligence(AI)

This study aims to explore options for Korean language education using AI. AI itself has only been around for a few years, and attempts to apply it to Korean language education have been underway for less than three years. Therefore, there is a long way to go, and discussing its application may be somewhat abstract. Nevertheless, as many researchers have already shown, it is no longer a choice but an imperative that AI, which is already actively used in various fields of society, should be applied to Korean language education. However, there are still many areas that are still lacking, and there are many areas that need to be researched. The researcher divided the existing research into language functions and examined the possible applications in speaking and writing in Korean language education. In the speaking field, the researcher found that it can be used for pronunciation correction and interactive exercises, while in the writing field, it is useful for writing correction, summarizing exercises, and writing according to the topic. They also found that AI is very useful in the field of translation and interpretation, which is increasingly in demand. They found it very useful for learners to revise already translated manuscripts when translating using AI, and predicted that the ability to make translation corrections in real time could be generalized in the future at the educational level.
