Induction analyzer of kinematic parameters of human walking: diagnosis of spatial asymmetry in central hemiparesis syndrome

Introduction. An integrated approach in the process of neurorehabilitation is required both at the stage of diagnosis of neurological deficiency and when drawing up a training program. Clinical examination and evaluation on valid scales are often insufficient when choosing rehabilitation methods, in particular, when correcting walking in patients with central hemiparesis syndrome. The purpose of the study. To test a new method for the objective diagnosis of the temporal and spatial parameters of human walking based on the operation of induction coils. Materials and methods. The induction analyzer device is mobile, easy to operate, and does not require a specialized room. At the first stage of the work, clinical trials were conducted on healthy volunteers, and a regulatory framework was established. Subsequently, studies of walking in patients with various pathological syndromes (ataxia, «Parkinsonian» gait, etc.) were conducted. In this article, the authors present the results of testing the diagnostic complex in the study of spatial and temporal parameters of patients with central hemiparesis syndrome. Results. The possibility of registering a forward single step has been established. This parameter is key in determining the severity of walking asymmetry in patients with central hemiparesis syndrome. Conclusion. It is possible to study the temporal and spatial parameters of walking in patients with central hemiparesis syndrome using an induction walking analyzer.
