Direct torque control using SVM strategy of doubly fed induction generator

This article proposes direct torque control using space vector modulation DTC-SVM. This control strategy is preferred over other solutions, to guarantee performance and reduce torque and flux ripples. In order to better illustrate the effect of C-DTC and DTC-SVM control on the power quality, a spectral analysis of the stator currents THD has been carried out. The simulation results of the proposed controllers are compared for torque changes and flux. It is shown that DTC-SVM has several characteristics, such as simple algorithm, good dynamic response, constant switching frequency. The results proved excellent performance and verify the validity of the proposed system. The behavior of the proposed DTC-SVM scheme is fully verified using Matlab/Simulink software.
