Investigating the interplay between duality and stability in magnetized radiative mixed convection of Casson nanofluid flow over a stretching/shrinking cylinder

The objective of this article is to provide an introduction to the broader convective heat conditions in magnetized mixed convection flow with first order velocity slip. The flow behavior of a Casson nanofluid (NF) is governed by its constitutive relationship when subjected to the influence of a stretching or shrinking cylinder. In the presence of an externally applied magnetic field, fluid exhibits electrical conductivity. Appropriate transformations are used to transform the system of nonlinear partial differential equations (PDEs) into the system of ordinary differential equations (ODEs). The system at hand is resolved through the utilization of a numerical technique known as the bvp4c method. To validate the methodology employed, the results obtained were juxtaposed with the outcomes of a previous investigation. Current study presents an analysis of impacts of different parameters on the profiles of velocity, temperature, and concentration. The problem's statement involves the computation and investigation of Sin friction coefficient, Nusselt and Sherwood numbers for numerous embedded parameters. The presence of dual solutions for the Casson fluid parameter and curvature parameter has been observed. Dual solutions exist when λ must be larger than or equal to λ c 1 , λ c 2 , and λ c 3 respectively. On the other hand, the existence of dual solutions is conditioned on S reaching or surpassing the specific critical values of S c 1 , S c 2 , and S c 3 . Stability analysis is also performed to demonstrate the existence of a stable solution, with the first solution being identified as such.
