Dmitry Nalivkin and his contribution to geological mapping of our country
One of the most important areas of the versatile and varied scientific activity of Dmitry Nalivkin was geological cartography, to the development and improvement of which he devoted most of his creative life. He was the chief-in-editor of more than 15 large general geological maps of the USSR and its large regions. Maps created under the editorship of Dmitry Nalivkin hang on the walls of many offices and auditoriums of geological institutions and universities. Experts use them to confirm or disprove their conclusions, try to find new patterns, outline general directions for searching for mineral resources, and thousands of students study them.
