A Four Port Dual Band MIMO Antenna Loaded with SRR for 5G Sub-6 GHz Applications
A four port dual band MIMO (Multiple-input Multiple-Output) antenna loaded with split ring resonator (SRR) is offered. The envisioned antenna will operate in dual mode at 4.8 GHz and 5.11 GHz; that is in 2 specific bands of sub-6 GHz namely the n79 band and LTE-46/LTE-U band. MIMO antenna elements' mutual interaction is reduced by positioning the opposite components in manner of opposition and assembling four elements perpendicularly to one another and finally achieved a standard ECC value below 0.5 and a good diversity gain between 9.95 to 10. So, the envisioned antenna for MIMO might be viewed as a possible competitor for sub 6 GHz 5G purposes.
