Node Hibernation Optimization Strategy for Metaverse Stream Computing
In light of the high energy consumption and costs stemming from an initial oversight of energy considerations in the design of Metaverse, an optimized node hibernation strategy for Metaverse stream computing (NHBDS) has been developed. Initially, this strategy entails the creation of a task scheduling model and a load prediction model, aimed at predicting trends in load changes and pinpointing nodes with lower data handling requirements. Following this, a node voltage reduction model is established, which utilizes the load forecasting model to select suitable nodes and determines the minimal voltage reduction level according to the energy efficiency ratio. The strategy's viability is then confirmed through comparative experiments. Experimental findings demonstrate that, in comparison to existing energy-saving measures, the NHBDS significantly reduces energy consumption without compromising the performance of the Metaverse.
