Safe-Women: an IoT-Enabled Smart Safeguarding Device for Enhancing Women's Security

Women are expressing themselves as essential members of our society. But as the rate of women violence rises rapidly, women become less productive and embarrass society as a whole. In Bangladesh, women are not getting justice and this issue is now a great concern. Several smart solutions are available but the lack of effective features escalates violence against women. In this research, we have proposed a safety device using the Internet of Things(IoT) techniques to safeguard women from any kind of violence. This smart device can be carried by the user just like a wristband and the victim's location will continuously be tracked and the device will monitor her heart rate (BPM) and oxygen saturation ( <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\mathbf{SPO}_2$</tex> ) continuously. In this situation, if abnormal BPM reading is found compared to the threshold value, an automatic alert will be sent to her guardian including a live video link. The guardian's Blynk application of their smartphone will display the victim's real-time location, as well as an alert call will be generated. Her guardian can also save necessary image footage. Our proposed system has achieved 90% accuracy after experimental analysis on twenty women which plays a crucial role to signify its efficiency. Thus our research implies that this smart wearable security device can be used to prevent women's violence ensuring their security all the time.
