Enhancing Distributed Security and Reliability in Semiconductor Supply Chains with Blockchain and Chemistry Integration

The semiconductor industry plays a crucial role in modern technology, but it encounters notable obstacles in ensuring accountability, dependability, and adherence to regulations within its supply chain, particularly concerning chemical procedures. This study investigates the utilization of blockchain technology to augment the semiconductor supply chain, specifically focusing on chemical traceability and environmental conformity. We propose a comprehensive framework for the integration of blockchain technology at all stages of the supply chain, from raw material providers to end-users. Smart contracts were also utilized for automating quality assessments and compliance of regulations. Taking advantage of blockchain's decentralized and immutable nature, the aim is to acknowledge significant challenges such as deceit, chemical wastes, and non-conformity. Through careful examination, the study shows the tangible advantages of this approach, enhanced traceability, process streamlining, and improved safety protocols. The results suggest that the integration of blockchain technology can notably boost the transparency and dependability of the semiconductor supply chain, offering a robust remedy to current challenges and laying the groundwork for future advancements in the sector. This interdisciplinary strategy underscores the pivotal role of chemistry in semiconductor production, fostering innovation and excellence in the research and application of distributed systems.
