A Study on the Color Use Method of dRMM Architecture
dRMM architecture carries out the concept of implementation of local values, user participation, and sustainability-based regeneration processes. As a result of analyzing method of using color, focusing on the architect's concept, the following characteristics were revealed. First, colors based on changes in nature and landscape were being applied. Second, an intimate and bold color palette was used that provided perceptual enjoyment based on user participation. Third, an original and highly noteworthy method of using color was revealed by changing colors according to changes in the architectural mass. Fourth, colors were used from a functional perspective based on spatial awareness and efficiency. Fifth, we were able to see the method of using color by the complex combination of multiple colors and an irregular arrangement. Lastly, gradient techniques were used by changing colors, materials, and areas of color. Through this study, it was found that the concept of dRMM architecture is closely linked to color and material application methods. Especially it was found that their architecture was strengthened by colors based on participation, users’ perspectives, and colors that emphasized sustainability.
