Stereoselective polycondensation of levoglucosenone leading to water-degradable biopolymers
Highly stereochemically controlled tricomponent polymers were synthesized from levoglucosenone (LGO), a biomass compound derived from cellulose. The obtained polymers showed several properties such as tunable thermostability and water degradability.
