The impact of fiscal education expenditure level on urban-rural income gap
Social equity has always been a focus of social concern, and fiscal education expenditure can have an impact on social equity. The urban-rural income gap, as an important indicator for testing the rationality of resource allocation, reflects the current situation of social equity well. It is necessary to study the impact mechanism of fiscal education expenditure on the urban-rural income gap. This article selects provincial panel data from 2010 to 2022 and processes the data using STATA16.0 software to explore the impact of fiscal education expenditure on urban-rural income inequality. The results indicate that an increase in government education expenditure will lead to a narrowing of the urban-rural income gap. The robustness test also significantly supports the above conclusion, and this effect will exhibit heterogeneity depending on the region.
