Analysis of reasons for failure of birth stimulus policies in East Asia
Fertility decline has become a common trend in global demographic development. Developed countries have taken the lead in entering the era of low fertility levels, and developing countries are also experiencing a decline in fertility. Economic growth, the improvement of people's living standards, the enhancement of women's education, employment level, and social status, and the change in the concept of reproductive culture have all hindered the development of fertility. This paper summarizes some failed policies to stimulate fertility in East Asian countries and analyzes why a series of policies to encourage fertility implemented in East Asian countries have had little effect on fertility.
