The experience of using the nasal form of GnRH agonists in in vitro fertilization programs

Objective. Evaluation of clinical outcomes, embryological characteristics in ovulation stimulation programs in short protocols using the nasal form of Buserelin spray of GnRH agonists. Material and methods. This retrospective observational study included 110 patients of various ages who were treated for infertility in in vitro fertilization programs, who were offered ovulation stimulation by GnRH agonists (GnRH) of the nasal form Buserelin spray in an individual dosage for each age group. Results. In group 1, there were patients from 24 to 35 years old, the average level of anti—muller hormone (AMH) was 1.21±0.67 ng/ml (0.01—3.09 ng/ml), the average dose of gonadotropins was 255±22.75 IU/day. 30.9% of the patients went into labor. In group 2, the age of patients ranged from 36 to 39 years, the average AMH level was 1.18±0.67ng/ml (0.05—2.67 ng/ml), the average dose of gonadotropins was 236±33.5 IU/day. Childbirth occurred in 21.6% of the patients. In group 3, patients aged 40 to 44 years were observed, the average AMH level was 1.06±0.36 ng/ml (0.32—2.4 ng/ml), the average dose of gonadotropins was 275±26.79 IU/day. 10.7% of women gave birth. In group 4, the age of patients was 45—47 years, the average AMH level was 0.52±0.25ng/ml (0.23—0.9 ng/ml), the average dose of gonadotropins was 250±33.33 IU/day. There were no births in this group. Conclusion. The tactics chosen by the clinic for using the nasal form of aGnRH — Buserelin spray in accordance with the instructions for use of the drug allows to obtain a high percentage of mature oocytes, increases the average frequency of pregnancy and childbirth in assisted reproductive technology programs not only in patients with normal ovarian reserve, but also in patients with low ovarian reserve, as well as in a group of patients older reproductive age.
