Synthesis, Characterization and Electrochemical Study of SnS2/rGO/SiC Nanocomposite for Supercapacitor Electrode Applications

A supercapacitor is a device that has been notably developed with the potential to provide significant breakthroughs in energy storage. Power consumption has expanded dramatically during the previous decades as a result of global economic expansion, population growth, and industrialization in the developing nations. The present study has explored experimentally <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">${SnS}_{2}/{rGO/SiC}$</tex> nanocomposite electrode material and performed their characterization and electrochemical measurements through XRD, SEM, RAMAN, and CV techniques. The synthesis of the nanocomposite is carried out through hydrothermal process. The nanocomposite electrode has higher specific capacitance of 988 <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">${Fg}^{-1}$</tex> at a scan rate of 5 <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">${mVs}^{-\mathrm{j}}$</tex>. Abstract

This <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">${SnS}_{2}/{rGO/SiC}$</tex> nanocomposite electrode became a potential path towards creation of applications for environmentally and eco-friendly energy storage.
