Smartpred Hybrid Microgrid Controller Based on Fuzzy Logic Controller
Using a Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) for effective energy management, this research simulates and analyses a hybrid off-grid power system that combines solar, wind, and diesel generator sources. The system aims to provide reliable and sustainable power in remote or isolated areas where grid connectivity is challenging. The coordination of inexhaustible sources, for example, sun powered and wind, along with a diesel generator as a backup, enhances the system's reliability and ensures continuous energy availability. The Fuzzy Logic Controller is employed to optimize the power distribution among the renewable sources and the backup diesel generator. It takes into account various parameters such as solar irradiance, wind speed, and load demand to make real-time decisions for efficient energy utilization. The simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the FLC in enhancing system performance, ensuring a smooth transition between power sources, and minimizing the dependency on conventional diesel-based generation.
