Study on the Influence of Magnetic Baseband on the Loss Characteristics of Superconducting Conductor Layer
In order to study the influence of magnetic baseband on the AC loss characteristics of double-layer superconducting cables, two types of YBCO tapes (magnetic and nonmagnetic) were used to prepare pentagonal double-layer high-temperature superconducting cable models. The loss characteristics of the magnetic baseband were analyzed in detail, and the self-field loss of the two tapes was calculated by experiment and simulation. The results were compared to verify the accuracy of the simulation. The AC loss of the model was measured from three aspects: voltage lead height, contact position and frequency. The results show that the NiW layer of the magnetic baseband has a significant influence on the AC loss characteristics. The loss results measured at different positions of the double-layer cable model constructed in this paper are consistent, and the main component of the AC loss is hysteresis loss. In addition, compared with the loss results of the pentagonal single-layer cable model, the influence of the magnetic baseband on the double-layer cable model is more severe.
