Accuracy and Bandwidth Optimization of Optical Communication Lasers
This study focuses on optimizing the L-I (Current- Light) model of Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Lasers (VCSELs) to enhance their performance in optical communication systems. VCSELs are characterized by advantages such as low threshold current and fast modulation capabilities, making them suitable for high-capacity applications. Our optimization efforts specifically target the learning rate adjustments, optimizer selection, the use of the ReLU activation function, and the application of regularization techniques to improve model accuracy and performance. By refining these aspects, we demonstrate significant enhancements in the L-I model's predictive capabilities, ultimately leading to better overall laser performance. Our findings provide valuable insights into the effective optimization of VCSEL characteristics, which is essential for advancing the efficiency of modern optical communication networks.
