Research on Dual Probes Magnetic Target Localization Method Based on Orthogonal Basis Functions
A target localization algorithm based on orthogonal basis function dual magnetic probes is proposed to address the problems of complex computation and poor real-time performance in current magnetic target localization methods based on motion scalar magnetometers. The peak of the energy function of the magnetic anomaly signal after orthogonal basis decomposition corresponds to the position closest to the target on the probe motion path. Use multi-channel estimation methods to search for feature time and estimate the minimum distance between the probe and the target, i.e. the closest approach distance (CPA). The geometric relationship between the nearest position probe and the target is given to solve the target position parameters. This method is computationally simple and avoids solving nonlinear systems of equations. The simulation results show that under a signal to noise ratio of 5dB, the positioning error is within 7%, which proves the effectiveness of the positioning algorithm and verifies that noise level and measurement interference are main factors affecting the positioning results.
