AOA-Based FOIPDF Controller for Load-Frequency Control of Islanded Microgrid
Modern electricity systems are under severe pressure to maintain stability. This is due to the intermittent renewable power generation and varying load demands. As a result, unrestricted frequency imbalance occurs. To mark this concern, a robust control strategy is required for optimising the parameters, and a new optimisation technique called Archmedis Optimization Algorithm (AOA) is implemented in this research work. The proposed Multi Microgrid system works with different conventional energy sources like Solar, Wind, Fuel-cell, Microturbines etc. The dynamic response of the AOA-based FOIPDF controller indicates its effectiveness over conventional PID & FOPID controllers. The proposed algorithm is also compared with the PSO & WOA algorithm. Under shifting load, wind, and photovoltaic power conditions and with multiple energy storage systems (ESSs) acting as battery energy systems (BESs), the performance of the suggested strategy is examined.
