Optimization of Wavelet Noise Reduction Parameters for PET Scintillation Pulse Signals
In order to realize the high precision measurement of positron emission tomography (PET), it is necessary to optimize the design of the key links in the system. Among them, the signal detection and processing are especially critical, which directly affect the energy resolution of PET and the final imaging quality. In this paper, a simulation experiment is designed to explore the influence of key parameters such as wavelet basis function, thresholding strategy and number of layers on the noise reduction effect of PET scintillation pulse signal system. By comparing and analyzing the improvement of SNR RMSE and Energy resolution nations of parameters, the optimal wavelet thresholding scheme for this type of noisy scintillation pulse signal is finally derived.
