Optimal Planning of CHP Embracing SDG Using CN2R Model for Multi-Residential Buildings- A Case Study of Chikkaballapur Taluk, Karnataka - India
Optimal planning and operation strategy for a combined heat and power(CHP) for a multi residential buildings located in Chikkaballapur Taluk, Karnataka state, India has been presented in this paper. To analyze the operating schedule and optimal size of the CHP system while both electrical and thermal efficiency taken into consideration based on the demand of the building, CN2R model(Combination of Cuckoo search and non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm II) is utilized here. This research work consist of the detailed electrical and thermal load profiles of a specific multi-residential building. To optimize the CHP system design, CN2R model is used here which also minimizes the total energy cost while taking all building energy requirements into consideration and operations over a year. Based on the CHP configuration and operation, the effect of various parameters including fuel prices, renewable energy integration, and grid electricity tariffs are studied and analyzed in this research work. This research work is a benefactor to the field of building energy management, where the validness of the optimised CHP systems comprising of the CN2R model for multi-residential building is showcased. This research work is centered for the regions experiencing increasing energy demands and interest in renewable energy integration such as Chikkaballapur Taluk.
