Multi-channel Integration of Polymer Spot Size Expander on Silicon Photonics Chip

Multi-channel integration of miniaturized polymer spot size expanders fabricated using UV-curable resin on a “silicon base plate” is newly proposed. The feasibility of the proposed structure was studied theoretically and was shown by primary experiment.
