Hypertension is the most leading cause of death after stroke and tuberculosis, accounting for 6.7% of all-age deaths in Indonesia. This is supported by Riskesdas data which explains that 13.3% of people with hypertension do not take medication. Non-adherence to therapy is one of the factors that lead to an increase in the prevalence of hypertension. Therefore, the level of knowledge of antihypertensive drugs is a major factor influencing the compliance behavior of hypertensive patients, so that the level of knowledge will support the success of therapy with antihypertensives. Research resultsThe results showed that the level of knowledge was good (60.27%), sufficient (34.25%), less (5.45%). Compliance with taking antihypertensive drugs is high (27%), moderate (30%) low (14%). The results of the chi-square test that have been carried out obtained an asymp sig value of 0.022 <0.05 states that there is knowledge and compliance, with a significance value on the results showing (p = 0.022 <0.05).
