Wheat Germ and Its Biological Activity –A Comprehensive Review
Wheat germ's bioactive qualities and health advantages have been well investigated. Studies reveal its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anticancer properties; special focus should be on fermented wheat germ as it shows potential in treating disorders including prostate cancer. Important research center on its contribution to lower oxidative stress, support of muscular performance, better glycemic response, and gut health enhancement. Additionally investigated are the dietary uses for wheat germ, including managing gluten sensitivity and raising food nutritional quality. Development in fermentation and extraction methods keeps improving its possibilities in food science and medicine. This study aims to investigate the bioactive elements of wheat germ and assess its possible use as a functional food ingredient thereby supporting disease prevention and health enhancement.
