Research on Ecological Protection and Restoration Technology of Fushun West Open pit Mine in Liaoning Province

This article takes Fushun West Open pit Mine as the research subject, and focuses on the issues of land damage, dust and sand raising, water level reduction, soil desertification, and vegetation degradation caused by mining. It conducts in-depth research on ecological environmental protection and restoration technologies. This paper first comprehensively analyzes the characteristics of Fushun West Open pit Mine and the impact of mining activities on ecology through literature research and case analysis. It reveals the transmission mechanism of rock and soil damage ecological degradation in the open-pit mine, reconstructs the ecological self-sustaining system, and further conducts research on key technologies such as land leveling technology, soil reconstruction and improvement restoration technology, and mine vegetation restoration. A technical framework suitable for ecological protection and restoration in the West Open pit Mining Area is constructed, and corresponding restoration technologies and measures are proposed. The implementation of these technologies has significant implications for improving the ecological environment of mining areas and promoting sustainable development. I hope to provide reference for ecological restoration in similar mining areas.
