Analysis on decoupling effect of transportation carbon emissions in Inner Mongolia, China
Transportation plays a pivotal role in social and economic development, and economic growth has a significant driving effect on transportation carbon emissions. It is particularly important to explore the relationship between economic growth and transportation carbon emissions. Based on the 2006-2021 time series data of transportation energy consumption in Inner Mongolia, this paper uses the IPCC "top-down" calculation method to calculate the total carbon emissions of transportation, and selects per capita GDP and added value of transportation industry to represent economic growth. Through the stationary test of time series data, the construction of Tapio decoupling model, the calculation of decoupling elasticity coefficient, and the decoupling effect analysis, the decoupling state between economic growth and transportation carbon emissions in different time periods during the study period was obtained, and the decoupling effect of transportation carbon emissions in Inner Mongolia was explored, providing theoretical support for energy conservation and emission reduction of transportation.
