Application of situational simulation pedagogy in a basic course in specialized rehabilitation nursing
Objective To explore the influence of situational simulation teaching method on enhancing the humanistic care ability of nursing specialist students in the basic course of rehabilitation nursing. Methods A total of 80 nursing students in 2 classes of 3-year specialized nursing program 2022 in our school were selected as the research object, all of them were in 3-year system, and were divided into 40 in observation group and 40 in control group by whole cluster random sampling. The control group used the traditional teaching method to carry out the teaching of the basic course of rehabilitation nursing, and the observation group used the situational simulation teaching method. Compare the two groups of nursing students' learning achievement, nursing students' humanistic caring ability, and objective structured clinical examination OSCE examination score. Results After teaching, the total score of the observation group's learning achievement was 161.01±3.17, the total score of nursing students' humanistic caring ability was (200.13±2.13), and the score of the objective structured clinical examination OSCE examination was (96.68±3.17), which were higher than those of the control group. The differences were statistically significant. Conclusion Compared with the traditional teaching method, the situational simulation teaching method can effectively improve students' academic performance, clinical examination OSCE examination scores and enhance nursing students' humanistic care ability.
