Study on the psychological motivations of Chinese queer individuals who dare to expose and come out under the guise of identity concealment: Centered on social media
Chinese queer people who have long been immersed in Confucian culture often suffer from frank self-disclosure and find it difficult to choose to "come out" when facing their families or society. At the same time, the Chinese queer group that chooses to hide their identity has also generated more complex social problems. This study used methods such as in-depth interviews and participatory observation to collect data based on social media and organized and analyzed the psychological motivations of the Chinese queer community for coming out. This article provides suggestions for understanding and recognizing the psychological motivations behind China's queer community coming out, to promote the improvement of their social adaptation level.
