Effectiveness of collaborative online international learning in university students’ global competence
Global competence has become a key factor for college students to succeed in their future endeavors. This study aims to explore the effect of collaborative online International Learning (COIL) on enhancing the global competitiveness of college students. COIL aims to foster learning collaboration across national boundaries to prepare for lifelong learning and adapt to the changing educational and job market while enhancing social responsibility. With COIL, students can not only strengthen their digital skills but also experience an international learning atmosphere without physical international travel. The study delves into the impact of COIL on students’ global competence. This paper also discusses factors that affect the effectiveness of COIL, such as course design, student participation, and technical proficiency. Through a systematic literature review of existing research, this study aims to contribute to examine the effects of COIL on university students’ global competence and provide relevant information for students in a diverse and interconnected world.
