The study investigated the relationship between self-esteem and depression. Whether parental response determines the level of self-esteem of adults as a risk factor leading to potential or explicit development of depression symptom in childhood. Our analysis demonstrates the enhancement of self-esteem, and to explore co-variation in depressive symptoms and the level of self-esteem. The results of this study suggest that low self-esteem are strongly associated with depressive symptoms, where social support and interaction can be one of the most important factors affecting depressive symptoms.
