Research on Automatic Subtitle Generation Technology for Intangible Cultural Heritage Documentary Films

With the rapid development and application of artificial intelligence technology, automatic subtitle generation technology has shown extensive application potential in the field of Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) documentary film-making. This technology utilizes advanced speech recognition algorithms to efficiently and accurately transcribe speech from video footage into subtitles, significantly enhancing the efficiency and quality of documentary production. This paper aims to explore in depth the application of automatic subtitle generation technology in ICH documentary films, including its technical principles, key technologies, and implementation methods. It focuses on how to effectively integrate automatic subtitle generation technology into the production process of ICH documentary films. Additionally, the paper analyzes challenges encountered in practical applications, such as the impact of background noise on speech recognition and the difficulty of recognizing different languages or dialects. It also discusses future directions for the development of automatic subtitle generation technology in ICH documentary film-making.
