Empathy in Motion: A Case Study of 'Dance of Youth' in Visual Art
This study explored the transformative role of digital technology in visual art, particularly how new media enables immersive, emotionally resonant experiences. As digital tools reshape traditional forms like dance and theater, they foster enriched audience engagement and sustainable preservation. Using Dance of Youth as a case study, this research applies Empathy Theory to explore how digital storytelling deepens emotional connections. It addresses questions about empathy's role in enhancing thematic resonance and how shifts toward digital consumption in the post-pandemic era shape these dynamics. By merging empathy theory with innovative digital practices, the study offers a theoretical and practical framework for embedding empathy in digital art, providing actionable insights for professionals and researchers in digital art, visual communication, and cultural heritage preservation. The findings contribute to the sustainable development of digital art practices, highlighting how empathetic engagement can connect audiences with art in meaningful ways within the digital landscape.
