Digitalization, creation, and implementation of digital calibration certificates

The role of digitization in various spheres of human activity, particularly in the field of metrology, is noted. The advantages of using digital calibration certificates (DCC), such as increasing the accuracy and reliability of measurements, ensuring metrological traceability, storage and effective exchange of data on calibration results, etc., are given. SE “Ivano-Frankivskstandardmetrology,” as a scientific metrological center in gas volume and volume flow measurement, is engaged in developing and implementing DCC in the calibration of reference gas meters. The structure and principle of action of the reference bell installation, which is used for the calibration of reference gas meters, are considered. The traceability scheme for the unit of measurement of volume and volume flow of gas, as well as a mathematical model and algorithm for estimating the uncertainty of measurements during the calibration of reference gas meters, is given. The measures that were implemented for the first time at the SE “Ivano-Frankivsk-standardmetrology” to develop digital calibration certificates in the field of gas volume and volume flow measurement are presented. A functional scheme has been developed, and the software algorithm for creating DCC has been described. Conclusions are given, and further measures regarding the implementation of DCC in the practical metrological activity of National Metrological Institute (NMI) are defined.
