REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND LOCATIONAL ADVANTAGES FOR WHOLESALERS AND DISTRIBUTORS IN ESPÍRITO SANTO

Logistics centers are emerging as an important tool for solving transportation problems, especially in states such as Espírito Santo, where the wholesale and distribution market is growing. Given this trend, this case study sought to understand the reasons why these companies choose to set up in Espírito Santo. It was possible to conclude that the main locational advantages of the state are infrastructure, labor force, consumer market and tax incentives. We propose increasing investments in Espírito Santo's infrastructure and in the qualification of the workforce to reduce dependence on tax incentives to attract new companies and promote its development.
