Design and Implementation of a Voice-Activated Search Engine for the Holy Quran

The Holy Quran stands as the revered scripture of Islam, representing the final divine revelation bestowed upon the Prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him) in the Arabic language. Its enduring significance is exemplified by its preservation in its original form for over 1400 years, offering profound spiritual guidance to humanity worldwide. The Holy Quran has 30 chapters, housing 114 surahs totaling 6236 verses (excluding Bismillah at the beginning of each surah), with a word count of 77880. Navigating this vast repository of divine guidance poses a formidable challenge for researchers, compounded by the absence of efficient search tools tailored specifically to the Quranic text. In this paper, we have presented a voice-activated search engine for the Holy Quran which can be particularly helpful to visually impaired individuals searching for specific verses through the Holy Quran.
