Live and Remote IoT Data Logging Device for Sensor Data Acquisition During Shipment of Fragile Cargo
The supply chain, encompasses order processing, transportation, storage space management, and distribution. Transport is a crucial component of the supply chain. Organisations must refine their transport processes to enhance efficiency by reducing delivery times, cutting costs, optimising storage space, keeping product safety. Collecting data on physical events that affect the product is necessary for the efficient design of packaging systems to ensure the product safety. This involves using IoT data loggers to gather real-world data, which is then used for subsequent testing and simulations of the packaging system and the product. The aim was to develop and to implement an IoT device, designed for data acquisition during the transport of fragile products. The IoT device monitors various real-time parameters, such as temperature, humidity, pressure, impacts, and location, with a primary focus on vibration and impacts monitoring.
