Ca2+ Electrochemical Intercalation in Fe[Fe(CN)6]1–<i>y</i> Berlin Green
Fe[Fe(CN)6]0.83·2.1 H2O has been prepared by precipitation and exhibits a cubic crystal structure (Fm3̅m, a = 10.1896(8) Å). Reversible redox activity in cells containing either sodium or calcium based electrolytes (capacity around 100 mAh/g) induces structural changes that have been followed by operando synchrotron X-ray diffraction.
