MEDIA RESPONSE TO IRAN'S ATTACK ON ISRAEL IN TEL AVIV: AN ANALYSIS OF WESTERN, MIDDLE EASTERN, AND INDONESIAN MEDIA TEXTS
ABSTRACTThis study aims to analyze media texts against the Iranian attack on Israel in Tel Aviv, using a discourse analysis approach that focuses on how texts are constructed and meaning is produced. In the context of the conflict involving Iran and Israel, the media plays an important role in shaping public opinion and narratives about the events. Through the media text analysis approach, the focus is on media responses from the West, the Middle East, and Indonesia. By examining the choice of words, the narratives used, as well as the emphasis in media coverage, we can understand how these stories are presented and interpreted in different regional and cultural contexts. In addition, this research will also explore how the discourse affects the public understanding of the conflict in the Middle East and influences government policies and public attitudes towards the event. The findings of this study are expected to provide insight into the role of the media in shaping social and political reality, as well as highlight the importance of criticism of narratives dominated by certain interests. Keywords: Iran Attack, Israel, Tel Aviv, Media Response
