Internal Recruitment and Agency Recruitment in Comparison

The research presented in the current paper aims to investigate the strategies and approaches used in the recruitment of personnel in the IT sector through internal selection and agency selection. The research aims to analyze the main differences in the recruitment approaches of companies using agencies for their human resources needs and those using in-house recruitment departments -in terms of multiple differentiation criteria focused on the needs of the respective companies for attracting and recruiting talent. The comparison of the used approaches includes the following key aspects: speed, quality, adaptation to corporate culture, funds, access to candidate databases, protection of personal data and others. The findings of the analysis show that the selection strategies of the two types are close at their core, but meet different needs, which is the reason for the divergence between the approaches. The results show that the choice of whether a particular company prefers in-house or agency recruitment depends on several factors, including company size, industry specifics, available resources, and the organization's strategic goals. For smaller companies or those with limited HR management resources, recruiting through an agency is more convenient and efficient, while larger companies with established HR departments are more likely to prefer an in-house approach because of the higher degree of control and the ability to more deeply integrate new hires into corporate culture and values.
