Protection of war victims through the lens of international construction contract law: issues and solutions
The research focuses on the legal aspects of protecting war victims through the application of international construction contract law (ICCL). Emphasis is placed on constructing housing and infrastructure for refugees and internally displaced persons in crisis and conflict conditions. The analysis covers international and national legal norms, including standards developed by the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC), and their role in expediting construction, ensuring safety standards, and mitigating legal disputes. Special attention is given to the practical adaptation of contractual obligations to emergency situations, enhancing the protection of affected individuals and reducing risks in humanitarian projects. The research highlights the need for coordination among states, international organizations, and non-state actors to develop comprehensive legal solutions.
