Epidermoid cyst of the kidney: clinical observation
Abstract . Epidermal cyst is a benign neoplasm, that mostly occurs on the skin.Renal epidermoid cyst has a rare clinical presentation, which in turn complicates preoperative diagnostics and presents difficulties in distinguishing it with malignant renal neoplasms. There are less than twenty cases of renal epidermal cysts and in the most cases either radical or partial nephrectomy was performed. We report a case of a 52 year old man with a histologically confirmed renal epidermoid cyst, that was treated with partial nephrectomy. The patient was asymptomatic and the lesion was accidental finding on the CT scan.
