Hough Transform-Based Recognition of Flat and Longitudinal Road Lines
Calculating road alignment parameters is crucial for highway surveys, optimization design, information management, safety analysis, and 3D road modeling. Accurately identifying road alignments and their parameters is crucial. This paper uses the Hough transform to detect road plane coordinates and calculate characteristic points between adjacent alignments. Previous methods for calculating road alignment points are often complex. This paper simplifies this by using the transition curve's parameter equation. Road mileage is calculated from coordinate data, linking mileage with elevation. This allows for recognizing longitudinal alignment and calculating related parameters. Integrating plane and longitudinal alignments creates a 3D road centerline, aiding the evaluation of horizontal and vertical design. This completes the process of road alignment recognition.
