Research on Traffic Risk Identification and Optimization of Mountainous Highways Based on Driving Simulation

The road traffic system is a complex system composed of people, vehicles, roads, and the environment. Any factor in it has an impact on road traffic safety, and the comprehensive interaction between different factors has different impacts on traffic safety. This study is based on the actual traffic survey data of the opened sections of the North Second Line, combined with the driver's physiological response data, and takes the roads, traffic, and safety facilities of mountainous roads as the main safety evaluation objects. Through quantitative analysis of the actual road conditions and traffic composition of the North Second Line highway, complex traffic states are identified; Using advanced experimental, analytical, and testing methods such as simulation experiments, we study the hidden dangers of accidents in complex traffic environments on mountainous roads and conduct traffic safety evaluations. This study provides new theoretical guidance and application methods for the construction of mountainous highway engineering and traffic safety management, improves the level of road traffic safety and service, reduces traffic accident rates, and achieves significant economic and social benefits.
