From aspiring powerhouse to economic regression: the consequences of liberalism and the subordinate international insertion of the Brazilian economy
The objective of this article is to analyze how the economic policy response to the crisis of the 1980s, the passive international insertion and the adoption of orthodox policies from 2015 onwards determined a process of economic regression with a strong loss of participation of the industry in the GDP, reprimarization of export agenda and loss of efficiency of macroeconomic policies.
